Founded in 2016 by Joe, a former U.S. Army tank mechanic, Compass Mechanical Repair brings decades of hands-on mechanical experience to Sandpoint, ID. Joe’s career began working on heavy-duty diesel equipment in the Army and later expanded to railroad maintenance equipment, underground mining machinery, light-duty diesel vehicles, and automotive repair.
What began as a small shop on Joe’s property has grown into a 5,000-square-foot repair facility. Joe’s wife, Staci, joined the business in 2020, helping grow Compass Mechanical Repair while maintaining the personal service of a family-owned shop.
